Legends Barbershop products are now available at Dis-Chem outlets nationwide.
The move into retail was not an easy journey for Sheldon Tatchell, the founder of the franchise, who has been trying to enter the retail industry for two years ‘with no luck’.
The franchise can boast with over 62 store locations in 4 countries also provide consumers the option to purchase their products online through Takealot. In January this year, Uber Eats announced that they were partnering with the franchise.
Born in Eldorado Park, Johannesburg, his first ‘entrepreneurial ventures’ as a child was to sell hair products to salons. It was during this time that he learned to keep going and to remain persistent.
Business Insider first learnt about the new venture through LinkedIn where Tatchell made the announcement, “The family at Dis-chem Pharmacies didn’t think twice about accepting us and sharing our products with their customers,” he said of the Saltzman family, the founders of Dis-Chem.
