Tweetdeck, the dashboard management app for Twitter, temporarily went down on Tuesday evening.

According to Outage Report, issues with the site were reported across North and South America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Performance issues appear to have begun trickling in around 8 p.m. ET.

"We are aware of issues with Tweetdeck and are investigating. Will circle back when we have more to share," a Twitter spokesperson told Business Insider on Tuesday night.

As of 1:30 a.m. ET, Tweetdeck was operational again. It is unclear why the site went down.

Many users expressed frustration during the outage.

The tool is commonly used by journalists or other content creators in order to monitor news trends and manage content from multiple accounts.
