Cape Town - The notorious South Easter, known all to well by Capetonians, has been playing havoc at the foot of Table Mountain.
The Cape Doctor took out one of the Heritage Cable Cars on display at Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Station on Monday.

The car toppled over, but it luckily only sustained a few minor paint chips.
Apart from it's windswept venture on Monday, the heritage cableway was last operational in 1974.
The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway's team, who re-positioned the cableway into its upright position again, promises to have the Heritage car back "in tip top condition for the festive season".
The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway is fully operational regardless of the incident, but is currently closed due to bad weather conditions.
