FlySAfair announces another new route

Cape Town - FlySafair, one of South Africa's newest domestic budget carriers has announced it will be offering flights between Cape Town and George.

FlySAfair has previously opened bookings for routes between Cape Town and Johannesburg, and Cape Town to Port Elizabeth.

"As part of our commitment to keeping ticket prices as low as possible and to making flying accessible for the general population, our strategy includes offering affordable fares on routes that were previously dominated by high prices,” explains Dave Andrew, CEO of FlySafair.

The airline will commence its services from mid-October and is offering fares starting from R399 between Cape Town and George, R499 between Cape Town and Johannesburg, and R399 between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, all inclusive of taxes and dependent on supply and demand.

Following best practice principles of other international low cost airlines, FlySafair will be charging passengers a base rate which secures them a seat on the flight, and allows for two pieces of free carry-on luggage weighing no more than 7kg in total.

Extras such as catering, check-in luggage, pre-booked preferential seats or extra-space seats such as those in the front rows or at emergency exits, will be charged for according to passengers’ specific needs.
