Trust the Japanese to have hotels almost run entirely by robotic staff.
One of these hotels is Henn-na Hotel, where around 90% of the positions are filled by robots.
You are welcomed by a friendly white and red robot, which will direct you to dinosaur and humanoid robots at the check-in desk. They can speak English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean.
You’ll also get your face scanned, which gives you access to your room instead of a keycard, and the temperature of the room fluctuates based on your own body temperature. Each room also comes with a helper bot to help you navigate the area during your stay.
This hotel brand is looking to open around a hundred of its chains in five years, which could usher in the new age of robotics in the hospitality industry.
