Black Friday in South Africa has seen cellular providers drop prices by up to 99% in a bid to attract consumers on the special shopping day.
Prices on Samsung, Apple, and Huawei devices all dropped across different providers and retailers.
iStore South Africa - where iPhone prices were slashed by up to R2,500 – saw iPhones selling out online by early Friday morning. Vodacom's Samsung Galaxy S9 plus deals have also sold out.

Cell C is offering new iPhone SE for R189 per month, for 24 months, including 90 minutes calling, 90 SMSes and 500MB of data per month.
You'll also get 20GB free to use over the first two months.
This means you'll end up paying in total R4,536 over 24 months for a phone currently worth R6,499 - and get data as well.
Get a Rain SIM card with 1GB data for R50 - the cheapest data plan in South Africa - and only pay R1 for delivery fee instead of usual R100.
Telkom is offering Samsung's Galaxy A8 for R149 per month over 24 months. You will also get a Level U Flex headset if you order quickly, and 10GB of data per month for the first six months.
This means you pay a total of R3,576 for the device and data over the 24 month contract period, while the phone alone is currently worth R7,200.
MTN is offering 1.5GB of data for an incredible R25 – the cheapest data price we've seen by far.
The deal, which is only available to pay-as-you-go customers, is however only valid for one day.
Vodacom is selling the new Huawei P20 Pro and Huawei T3 10 Tab as a combo deal for R699 per month, over 24 months.
Buyers will also get airtime worth R200 every month.
This means you will pay R16,766 in total over 24 months for hardware worth R18,666 (the phone goes for R15,666 and the tablet is worth R3,000) and get airtime worth R4,800 for mahala. As long as you were in the market for both those devices.
