Elon Musk's SpaceX is seeking a "spaceport mixologist."

It's likely the new bartender will be sent to work at a tiki bar at the space exploration group's so-called Starbase launch site at Boca Chica, near Brownsville, south Texas.

SpaceX is looking for an experienced bartender who can pair drinks with a themed menu and work in a resort, according to a job posting on the company's website.

The job description didn't mention salary. SpaceX didn't immediately respond to a request asking how much the spaceport mixologist would be paid.

In June, Musk tweeted a photo of two Starship launch vehicles, SN15 and SN16, next to a building that he described as the "Starbase Tiki Bar."

The billionaire in October posted a photo of a drink inside the bar. "I mean, ya gotta have a tiki bar," he tweeted.

SpaceX wants its new bartender to have more than two years of experience in mixology or cocktail preparation in a bar or restaurant, the job description said.

The successful applicant will potentially have to stand for more than four hours at a time, work overtime and at weekends, and continuously work with their hands, SpaceX said in the description.

Musk said in March that Starbase would grow by "several thousand people over the next year or two".
