A Georgian mansion is up for grabs for the price of a good meal. Dancers Hill House in North London is a mansion worth a staggering R93 million but could be won for a little over R245.
The owners of the property put it up for sale via a raffle, for which a single ticket sells for about R245 – as long as you can answer a question about its history, to turn it into legitimate contest involving skill. (Helpfully, though, the website will not sell you a ticket until you get the contest answer right.) The property owners went with this unorthodox idea in the hope that a potential buyer will be lured in by the bonus of not having to pay extortionate stamp duty.
Dancers Hill House specs:
- 696 square metres.
- Six bedrooms and bathrooms.
- State of the art kitchen.
