FNB eBucks rewards members can now book domestic and international flights through the bank’s app and receive discounts of up to 40%.

Minimum eBucks amounts will also no longer be required to qualify for discounts when booking flights.

FNB retail CEO Raj Makanjee said the new benefit joins a host of offers already available on the eBucks tab in the application, including complimentary lounge visits, and registering for the Entertainer discounts.

“The travel offering emphasises our commitment to addressing the needs of customers through a trusted, safer and convenient platform,” Makanjee said.

The card details of FNB customers who book and pay for flights through the app will not be exposed to third parties or other websites.

FNB is the first South African bank to offer this kind of service, Makanjee said.

The benefit is limited to 16 one-way or eight return economy domestic tickets a year, and two return international economy or premium flights per year.

To access the benefit, customers must have an existing eBucks account and have the latest version of the FNB/RMB Private Bank app installed on their android or iOS device.

The flight benefit can found under the eBucks menu on the FNB app.
