Online real estate agent PropertyFox has released a new guide to some of the best school suburbs in South Africa.

The report focuses on the top 65 high schools in South Africa’s biggest cities, according to criteria that include that 80% of the last matric class achieved a Bachelor’s Pass (university exemption) and that the school maintained a 100% pass rate for matric since 2013 – as well as that it is recognised by SA School Sports Magazine for its sport achievement.

PropertyFox found that almost 45% of these schools gave preference to learners who lived close to the school. A further 9% of the schools have preferred suburbs for learners, and another 9% have preferred primary feeder schools.

“It is hard for parents to get to grips with exactly where to buy property so that they have the best chance of being accepted into a specific school,” says Crispin Inglis, co-founder and CEO of PropertyFox
